Title: Decarbonizing Building Space Heating In Cold Climates: Air-Source VRF Heat Pump Systems

Description: Free session from the ASHRAE Winter Conference!

Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems are an important heat pump technology to electrify commercial buildings and take advantage of renewable energy. Recent VRF advancements allow these systems to operate up to -22°F ambient wet-bulb, while upcoming refrigerant transition will be a good opportunity to switch to VRF. This seminar will inform the audience of VRF systems’ effectiveness in cold climates, including applications, experiences, and lessons learned.
